PRE-REQUISITES:
To become an HW1 Instructor you should have (at a minimum) completed all of the following requirements:
- Mette's Institute Leadership and Facilitation training
- Heartworks Lomi Lomi Weekend taught by a Mette’s Institute (MI)
instructor or Mette Sorensen - Heartworks Lomi Lomi Instructor training with Mette
- Participated in 2 x HW1 courses as an Assisting Facilitator with a MI qualified instructor or with Mette

Mette Sorensen, your facilitator
Principal at High Spirits Retreat, Founder and owner of the highly renowned Tivoli Retreat and High Spirits Retreat, Noosa Hinterland, Queensland.
Since 1993, Mette Sorensen has trained more than 5,000 practitioners from more than 25 countries including across Europe, Asia, Australia, NZ, the Americas, and South Africa in KaHuna bodywork and personal growth. 2020 she started teaching meditation, movement, and massage online to the world.
Now she is also an Author of “Pass It On” book of connection Games and Insight for Home, Work, and Communities.
Mette is a teacher of leaders, trainers, and facilitators both in Movement and Healing Arts as well as professional development programs. With her commitment to passing on her extensive knowledge and expertise in facilitation and teaching of massage and healing, Mette has trained more than 150 practitioners in train-the-trainer programs tailored to professional and personal development. Graduates have gone on to open their own healing clinics and practices with the knowledge gained from Mette’s courses. Additionally, Many graduates are now teaching KaHuna massage and Heartworks Lomi Lomi techniques around Australia and in Asia, New Zealand, and Europe, further expanding the positive impact of Mette’s programs.
